Apparently, a Private Jet Isn’t Bespoke Enough Anymore.
There was a time when owning one of the world’s most capable private jets was probably enough.
Apparently not anymore.
Bombardier has collaborated with ELIE SAAB to create a bespoke interior for its flagship Global 8000, bringing the world of haute couture into private aviation.
And I think it’s fascinating.
Not necessarily because of the aircraft itself, impressive though it is, but because of what this collaboration says about where luxury is heading.
At the very top of the market, simply having access to the best product is no longer enough.
People want the best product to feel like theirs.
We see exactly the same thing in property.
The homes that really capture people’s attention aren’t necessarily those with the longest specification sheets or the biggest numbers attached to them. They’re the ones where somebody has obsessed over the details. The materials. The proportions. The craftsmanship. The things that perhaps nobody else notices, but the owner absolutely does.
The ELIE SAAB Global 8000 feels like an extension of exactly that philosophy.
Bombardier’s Global 8000 sits at the very top of its range, designed to combine extraordinary long-range capability with the sort of cabin environment that increasingly resembles a beautifully designed private residence rather than conventional aircraft interiors.
ELIE SAAB takes that idea one step further.
It’s an interesting collision of worlds: aviation, fashion, interiors and craftsmanship coming together for a client who could, quite frankly, choose almost anything.
And perhaps that’s where modern luxury is heading.
Not simply owning something exceptional.
Making something exceptional unmistakably yours.
For those of us working in the world of exceptional homes, it’s a trend that feels very familiar.

Bombardier Global 8000 x ELIE SAAB
When does the ELIE SAAB Bombardier Global 8000 launch?
The ELIE SAAB-designed interior for the Bombardier Global 8000 was officially unveiled in June 2026 and is available for customers to order now. The first completed Global 8000 aircraft featuring the ELIE SAAB interior are expected to be delivered around 2028–2029.
How much does the Bombardier Global 8000 cost?
Bombardier does not publish a simple current retail price for every individually configured aircraft. Historically, announced orders have implied a list price in the region of US$78 million per Global 8000 before individual configuration.
The final price can vary considerably depending on specification, customisation and other options.
How much does the ELIE SAAB Global 8000 cost?
No separate public price has been announced for the ELIE SAAB cabin specification. As a bespoke interior available to Global 8000 customers, the ultimate cost will depend on the individual aircraft and configuration selected.
In other words, if you have to ask…
Is the ELIE SAAB Global 8000 a limited-edition private jet?
No. The collaboration introduces an ELIE SAAB-designed cabin option for Bombardier Global 8000 customers rather than a separate limited-edition aircraft.
What is the range of the Bombardier Global 8000?
The Global 8000 is designed for a range of approximately 8,000 nautical miles, allowing ultra-long-range journeys between many of the world’s major cities without stopping.
How fast is the Bombardier Global 8000?
Bombardier has designed the Global 8000 for a top operating speed of Mach 0.94, positioning it among the fastest purpose-built business aircraft in the world.
